About Stowe

Stowe lies in the North of Vermont, close to the Canadian border. Conditions are generally excellent as the area enjoys an average annual snowfall of 260 inches, as well as comprehensive snowmaking.

Stowe has rich cultural and historic links, and the mountain has been described as 'small but serious' skiing. It really does provide quality skiing for all abilities within a relatively compact area, making it an ideal destination for your school ski trip.

You can also add a city stopover to your trip to take in the iconic sights and sounds of New York or Boston.

Facilities for beginner skiers will ensure that even your most hesitant novices will progress with confidence. A double chair serves the wide and gentle 'Easy Street' and 'Mighty Mite'.

Intermediates will find plenty to excite them on Spruce Peak, while the experts will make straight for the seriously steep 'Front Four' - situated on the higher part of the main ski sector, they are steep and narrow enough to scare almost anyone!
