Getting teens to put down their phones can be a challenging feat. With so many apps competing for their attention, focusing and connecting can be a tricky task This is where an enriching trip with outdoor activities can help. They will reignite imaginations and help them to connect and have fun with their peers.

Thankfully here in the UK, they are fantastic for adventure holidays and activities. Here are some great outdoor activities that are sure to get your teen to engage and put down their phones:

Bodyboarding

Bodyboarding is an excellent outdoor activity because it requires teamwork and communication in order to be successful. It also gets your teen out of their comfort zone and forces them to interact with their classmates.

Raft Building

How about building a raft? The key objective here is to create a raft that will not only stay afloat but will also steer using the barrels, ropes and wood we provide. Once built it can be taken on the open .

Sensory Trail

We cater for everybody and understand the importance of outdoor sensory activities. By following the rope a hidden surprise is revealed. This unique activity is a fantastic way to enhance other senses and develop stronger communication skills.

Low-Level Rope Course

Height is no issue here. At less than a metre up, low ropes remove the fear of heights from your off-ground challenge; in addition, being closer to the ground means they have plenty of opportunities to take advice and discuss your options with the rest of the group. Working their way around the course will rely on clear communication and careful negotiation.

Tree Climbing

There is nothing quite like exploring nature than getting muddy and climbing up some trees.  It’s also the best way to really appreciate the size of our beautiful selection. And don’t worry our qualified instructors are on hand to help navigate the task safely.
