About Jugendgästehaus Hinterronach
This family-run youth hotel is located high above Saalbach town. It offers doorstep skiing and superb views, whilst only being a 10 minute walk down into the town, and a more energetic 20 minutes back up the hill.
PGL has a long-standing relationship with Frau Hutter and the hotel staff, and have found them to be helpful, accommodating and friendly to our groups.
Guests walk or ski down (on prior arrangement with the instructors) to the meeting point in the centre of Saalbach. Beginners use the ski slope next to the ski hire, whilst more experienced skiers can take the gondola to explore the area.
Accommodation
The Hinterronach can accommodate around 100 guests, in mainly 4-6 bedded rooms. There is one spacious 7 bedded room split into two sections of 3 and 4 beds each.
Some rooms are fully en suite; others have shower cubicles and washbasins with separate toilets on the corridor.
Teachers are accommodated mainly in two bedded rooms with en suite facilities.
There is a refurbished teachers' lounge where teachers can relax after skiing and enjoy coffee and cake provided by the hotelier. Meals are served in the evening in the modern dining area which can also be used for evening activities.
You may be charged a damage deposit on arrival.

Intermediates will enjoy the beautiful tree-lined pistes on both sides of the valley and the open snowfields above Hinterglemm. Experts will find some steep and bumpy challenges, especially on the formidable Zwölfer run from the top of Hinterglemm at almost 2000 metres down to the bottom of the valley. Meanwhile, for beginners the nursery slopes are close to both village centres, with a range of good, easy runs higher up.
